Through His Love and Grace!
I am going to try not to give too long of a testimony. I do not like rehashing my past so I am going to be brief on that part and try to focus on the great things that have happened to me recently.
My Past. Let's just say I have hurt and I have been hurt; I have lost and I have won; I have made many unwise decisions and I have been affected by the unwise decisions of others. I do not regret any of my past except the times that I hurt the ones that I love. I would not be who or where I am if my life were different up till now. And even though I know that I am not perfect, I am, for once, happy with who and where I am.
Growing up, God was not a big part of our lives. As a result I floundered quite a bit as I grew up. Because of a situation I had myself in with a cult, my Mother and Step-Father started studying the Bible to try to help me out of a bad situation. Not only did they help me, but they are both now sincere and saved believers! With me, they were patient and loving, sometimes pushing too hard and sometimes just right. I slowly started seeing things for what they were and not as what I had wanted them to be. I started reading the Bible for myself and praying for Holy Spirit to guide me. And guidance is what I got. I began to understand things that had confused me for years. The Bible actually made sense, not only in my head but in my heart, also. It did not take me long to figure out what I needed to do. So I asked Jesus to come into my life and use me in whatever way he felt I could help others come to him. I now have a peace in my life I never could have imagined. Don't get me wrong, life goes on, but now I have someone holding my hand and carrying me when I need it. Now, with my new knowledge and guidance, I am trying to share this Love and Peace with everyone I can reach.
